Al Jarreau: Moonlighting

Don't You Change
Some walk by night
Some fly by day
Nothing could change you
Set and sure of the way.

Charming and Bright
Laughing and gay
I'm Just a stranger
Love the Blues and the Braves

There is the sun and moon,
They sing their own sweet tune,
Watch them when dawn is due,
Sharing one space.

Some walk by night
Some fly by day
Some think it's sweeter
When you meet along the way

Come walk by night
Come fly by day
Some thing is sweeter
Cause we met along the way

We'll walk by night,
We'll fly by day,
Moonlighting strangers
*Who just met on the way. x3

Wikipedia: Moonlighting (theme song)
"Moonlighting" is the theme song to the American Broadcasting Company dramedy which ran from 1985 to 1989 and starred Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd. The theme song's music was written by Lee Holdridge and was performed by Al Jarreau, who wrote the lyrics. The single was Jarreau's only number one on the Adult Contemporary chart. The theme from "Moonlighting" spent one week at number one and went to number twenty-three on the Billboard Hot 100.

Wikipedia: Moonlighting (TV series)
Moonlighting is an American television series that aired on ABC from March 3, 1985, to May 14, 1989. The network aired a total of 66 episodes (67 in syndication as the pilot is split into two episodes). Starring Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd as private detectives, the show was a mixture of drama, comedy and romance, and was considered to be one of the first successful and influential examples of comedy-drama, or "dramedy", emerging as a distinct television genre.

The show's theme song was performed by jazz singer Al Jarreau and became a hit. The show is also credited with making Willis a star while providing Shepherd with a critical success after a string of lackluster projects. In 2007 it was listed as one of Time magazine's "100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME."

This music makes me think of sometime in the past when I was in love. Things were wonderful and fun. It was everything I could imagine. But sadly, it came to an end. It had to come to an end like summer comes to an end; it was only meant to be temporary. I'm sorry to see it go, but I look back on it with a great deal of fondness. I smile; I chuckle, but I also sigh nostalgically. I guess I have to consider myself lucky that it ever happened.
